Tips and Tricks
This page is dedicated to various tips and tricks I'm currently using to discern credible information and resources from others.
How can you discern good from bad?
In the modern information age, NEVER take writing, photos or graphs for factual without questioning them properly or vetting the source to your liking.
Establishing your own list of trusted resources is time consuming. Hopefully some of my resources will work for you. Please note, just because a resource may be listed doesn't mean it's as good as others listed. Some resources are great for stimulating thought, but not always really great on reporting. Also, as a resource grows, keep a keen eye on their sincerity as temptations will be presented that may cause them to stray from their original reason for publishing.

=== DISCERNING INFORMATION AND VETTING SOURCES ===
- Cross reference info with other websites and other information available to you
- Google the person or topic and scan search results
- Use linked and facebook pages to verify identities of people. If they aren't listed, they aren't real. If they are listed, it doesn't mean they are real.
- Use whois.com to see who owns a website. Look up the contacts listed in that listing to dig deeper. I found tracked a small local news website back to the Walton Family recently. After some questions, it seems like the publishing is sincere, but I only came to that after dialogue with a publisher of an article for that website.
- Send an email to the author of the article/owner of the website with questions that aren't easy to answer if they are insincere. Include conflicting info that you feel has some merrit. Include links to their linked-in/faceboook or other personal references online that shows them you have some idea who they are and what reputation it is they might like to protect with a sincere answer.
=== Ratings Systems ===
- Only rely on ratings systems of the largest public websites. All others can be faked/manipulated more easily. I use youtube and Amazon rating systems the most. With youtube videos, I look for videos that have a thumbs up to thumbs down ratio of 80% or higher. And the more total thumbs makes it more dependable. With amazon, I rely on average ratings of 4 or higher and I always check out the 1 ratings as they are often very relevant for certain conditions or changes in product quality.
=== TROLLING ===
- Trolling is when someone leaves comments or posts websites to discredit legitimate publishing. Trolls make snide comments to distract, misdirect and confuse. Many, many starving and otherwise low paid writers are being paid big bucks by main stream media outlets and government servants to Troll facebook groups and to produce false reports to counter act truthful information.
=== Drowning out the Truth ===
- The 'easiest' way to bury truth is not to defend it. It is to publish so much stuff near or around it that it is hard to tell what is truthful. This is a popular technique employed by all wishing to confuse others. Sometimes you have to filter thru piles of poo to find the truthful piece others were paid to bury in plain view but producing a lot of similar but non-factual information.
=== FEEL ===
- If the information contradicts long held beliefs but it makes you feel like you've connected some dots, no matter how illogical the connections may feel, you are likely onto something more truthful than your existing beliefs. It may take weeks or years to get the real truth, but in the mean time, dislodging the old is a win in and of itself. You don't have to replace firm beliefs with firm beliefs. Replacing them with "I know it's not what I use to believe" is great progress.
What Media Sources are generally IN?
=== Youtube.com ===
Youtube is your friend. Ask any question and start watching. Be cognizant of the thumbs up/down as described above. Below a 60/40 split and the information is likely very arbitrary. Above 80/20 and you are likely looking at some really truthful stuff.
=== NEW Large media outlets ===
RT.com (Russian Times) -- Started out strong. Rumor has it is slowly becoming more controlled.
Al-Jazeera US -- If it is still up, they were some of the best most unbiased reporting I saw in the 2013-2014 time frame
The Young Turks -- Some seemingly very transparent reporting.
=== Independent Websites ===
There are thousands of small blogs popping up. Use your own discernment to determine level of credibility. Most have a bias or a message they are trying to push, but they will tell you what that is. Part of the new media is to forget the concept of unbiased reporting, as that was just a fake out to give you the idea you were getting unbiased info, when in fact you were getting the opposite. Use the vetting techniques mentioned above.
=== www.Rense.com ===
For conspiracy related topics (most of which are proving to be more truth than fiction), there is no better online vault than www. rense.com . This one will fool you. If you go to www.Rense.com the front end looks like a junky site making money on ads. What's under the hood on this sucker will blow your mind. In your favorite search engine type "rense.com xxx". For example, type "rense.com jfk" or "rense.com moon hoax". The range of authors/contributors and the dates on the posts will make it apparent this was the gathering place for truth seekers years before it was in vogue.
=== Facebook ===
Facebook and forums for your favorite topic are becoming so powerful it's silly. HOWEVER you must check the sources on the articles referenced as described above. ALSO, check out the profiles for those posting the info. It's amazing how people's profiles alone will often out them for nefarious trolling.
=== Podcasts ===
Podcasts are VERY powerful. Podcasts are pre-recorded radio shows that you download and listen to offline. I assume the word podcast derived from the iPod and something you might download and play on the iPod. It takes a bit to figure out the downloading and reply process, but this is an incredible powerful resource for one amazing reason. For those folks posting very controversial stuff on podcasts, it's impossible to troll and dispute. This will likely be the mass educational format of the future. Sounds from the darkness.
=== Amazon.com ===
A great place for all types of product reviews.
=== Non-Silicon Valley Websites dedicated to Customer Reviews ===
Small websites dedicated to reviews like VegOut can be great resources. Once a website morphs into a YELP or Angies List, use with some caution, because as money gets involved on a broad scale, more nefarious algorithms become relevant.
What Media Sources are OUT...
=== Main Stream Newspapers ===
If you still have access to one of these, there is only one thing you need to know. JP Morgan bought out all relevant print newspapers in 1915. You have been living in a Banker Controlled media bubble since 1915. http://www.mindfully.org/Reform/Morgan-Buys-Newspapers9feb17.htm
In modern times, those seeking control are slightly different but similar games in play. Washington Post is owned by Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos. If you don't want anyone challenging your company's monopoly from an anti-trust perspective, what do you do? You buy the newspaper in Washington DC which comes with staff reporters and you tell them to dig up dirt on every Politician who might ever push for anti-trust. Nice, simple move to protect a monopoly.
=== The Associated Press ===
While it is very difficult to verify, the rumor mill indicates the Associated Press was bought out by/ has been owned by the Rothschild's since the 1870s. Given the info above about JP Morgan, is that concept that hard to believe? Again, this is rumor material as no smoking gun documents have been produced. Do your own research if you'd like.
=== Main Stream Media - TV ===
As of 2015 we do NOT have a single channel broadcasting with sincerity. A false story about Sanders Supporters throwing Chairs at a Nevada DNC rally was started by a PBS reporter who was fired a few weeks later. That confirmed suspicions that even PBS had been infiltrated by those wishing to control your attention via TV. With this final straw, it is safe to say if it is on Main Stream TV or if it is coming from someone who's been involved in main stream TV or media for years, the information is meant as a distraction or to cause division between you and fellow citizens, or to simply cause you so much confusion you quit paying attention (you go to sleep).
=== National TV News ===
The US National News system is the largest propaganda machine on the planet. If/when you come to see the faux NASA moon walks as I do, you will begin to realize their power derives from their ability to out that gargantuan myth. I'm not sure they were in fact in on the reporting games right when it happened, and if they weren't, as I suspect they were not, the exclusion and subsequent investigation into the event is what would have increased their power ten Fold.
=== Local TV News ===
Unfortunately folks, they get their programming from the National Headquarters. These local broadcasting folks are the ones who bother me most. They are participating in the illusion crafting with those they rub elbows with and those who's trust they earn in their local communities. If it is on the Local News regular programming, it is there with a psychological purpose that might astound you and those TV anchors know that.
=== Main Stream Media - Radio ===
The radio has become a far less relevant outlet for attention manipulation given the rise in all other forms of media, but I've heard some public announcement ads recently about reporting suspicious terrorist activities to local authorities. Given the frequency of Terrorist attacks as compared to all other Chaos, that is nothing short of fear mongering. As for individual shows on the radio, they are going to be no different then YouTube. Use your own discernment.
=== Main stream websites ===
CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, Washington Post, NYTimes etc... HORRIBLE. Just horrible. Their desire to plant faux stories and push agendas makes any and all attempts and propaganda mind control bow down.
